Height 7.5 cm, mouth diameter 10.6 cm, high stand diameter 3.1 cm
This is a small bowl with a mouth diameter of about 10 cm. The shape of the bowl, with the base slightly larger than the diameter, and the mouth with an edge bow, seems to be somewhat in the style of Tenmoku tea bowls. This type of bowl has been excavated from the Momoka Kiln and Milikoba, and may have been newly used in place of the ceramic tenmoku. The body is carved with a Shinogi pattern, and the mouth is covered with a thunderbolt pattern in the shape of a bridge, and two “Fuku” characters are written on the two sides of the body. Although it is a small bowl, the color of the underglaze blue is truly brilliant, suggesting that high quality gosu had been imported at that time.
