Height 3.5 cm, mouth diameter 22.7 x 26.6 cm, bottom diameter 12.9 x 14.6 cm
This oddly shaped dish is fan-shaped, with the handle bent almost at right angles. The base is slightly high and the mouth has a wide bell-shaped rim. The upper part of the forepart has a diagonal lapis lazuli pattern with a radiating sun-like pattern in white, and on the lower half of the surface is a narcissus design on taiko-ishi stone, surrounded by cloisonne enamel patterns. The handle also has a cloisonne design, and the reverse side has a grass pattern in an arabesque style. The writing “Made in the year of Damei Jiayasu” is written on the base, but it is in a somewhat similar style to a group of colored porcelain known as Imari-type porcelain. The date of production is not clear, but judging from the high degree of perfection of the underglaze blue technique, it is thought to have been made between the Enpo and Genroku periods.
