Height 20.6 cm, mouth diameter 21.4 cm, bottom diameter 11.2 cm.
The wide mouth opens slightly outward with a jade rim, the body is richly swollen, and the base is small and tight. The body is richly puffed out, and the base is small and tight. The well-proportioned and taut figure shows curves comparable to those of Song dynasty vases. The shoulder is decorated with a band of landscapes, flowers, and birds, and the body is decorated with a plum tree branch flaring out to one side with two Chinese figures below the branch. It was probably made during the Kan’ei period (1615-1644), and the kiln was probably the Hyakumon kiln. It is a representative masterpiece of this type, and there are few examples of this type of ware. The large cracks around the base are probably characteristic of early vessels.
