The colored doll is one of the best among the Kanbun beauties of Imari, wearing a kosode with a chrysanthemum pattern and a briar patterned Uchikake. It clearly represents a prostitute. The colored doll is a male figure with a crest of a tree and a pattern of flying clouds and wave crests. This is an excellent example of this type of male figurine. These dolls were also made for export, and many of them were imported from Europe in recent years.
