Height 7.2 cm, mouth diameter 30.7 cm, base diameter 14.0 cm
This large dish with an elegant design depicts a single white orchid plant with its leaves spreading out to the left and right. The use of dark underglaze blue rocks as roots to tighten up the surface is an extraordinary expression of color painting, and is also unique to Nabeshima. As usual, to highlight the white flowers, the ground was made of lapis lazuli with a thin layer of dye. The five stems are covered with flowers and twelve leaves, and the veins of the leaves are drawn in underglaze blue, while the white orchid flowers are delineated with red lines. On the reverse side, four cloisonne enamel designs are connected by strings, a typical design often used on Nabeshima shaku plates, on three sides, and the sides of the base are covered with a comb pattern, which is also common, and the number of the comb patterns can be counted as 100. The coloring of the underglaze blue and black is a little darker than usual, and there is a slight loss of glaze inside the base.
