Height 4.0cm, mouth diameter 15.3cm, base diameter 8.2cm
This is a 5″ dish of Ko-Nabeshima ware, as well as a dish with a camellia connection design in overglaze enamels. Ko-Nabeshima dishes are flattened and have a shallower curve than the dishes of the mid-19th century. Although they lack precision, they are characterized by their formidableness. This dish also has two horizontal rows of camellia flowers, and the ground is filled with a cloisonne pattern in black ink. The green leaves and red flowers are clearly expressed in this impressive work. The outer surface is covered with an ancient arabesque pattern with peony flowers on three sides, and the base is decorated with a comb pattern. The base of this type of dish rises vertically and is slightly higher and larger than the dish itself.
