This is a dish with an unusual shape with its sides turned back, and there are no other examples of this type. It has an unusual design of radial floral motifs roughly expressed in underglaze blue and white on a thin lapis lazuli ground. The reverse side is covered entirely with arabesques with peonies on three sides. The pedestal is a comb-shaped pedestal. It is made in the old Nabeshima style.
