This long-necked vase with stand, which has an oblong body with stout shoulders and an elongated trumpet-shaped neck, is a type of Sue ware that appeared with many other vases in the late 6th century, and was produced until the 9th century. Early vases, like this one, had a hemispherical body with a slender neck with two sunken lines.
The base is generally high and has a rectangular two-tiered watermark. Later, the body of this type gradually became flattened and the foot degenerated. This vessel was made of fine clay with a slightly high iron content, and the three parts (mouth and neck, body, and pedestal) were each made separately and joined together. The firing is very good.
