This small Teihei hanging jar is slightly flattened in relation to its body diameter, and has a strongly protruding ring-shaped ear. The neck of the mouth is narrow, and the wide opening of the upper half is a remnant of an ancient Teihei hanging jar with a ridge in the center of the rim band. The surface is grayish-black, and the natural glaze that flowed from the mouth to part of the shoulder has peeled off to reveal a grayish-white glaze.
