This pottery is thought to have been made around the beginning of the 7th century, judging from the upright neck with two sunken lines in the center and the two-tiered rim of the mouth. The surface of the vessel is adjusted by fine striations and brushes. The flattened body suggests that it is a Teihei hanging jar. It is a well-fired, grayish work.
