Height: 3.1cm, Diameter: 21.7cm x 21.8cm
A single peony flower is represented by Korin’s typical brushwork. Each of the flowers is painted with rust paints mixed with gosu over a white undercoat, but this technique is characterized by the fact that the brushstrokes have the same feel as those on paper. The inscription on the upper right is a praise by Qianzan: “Falling within, red and white, by Shiazhu Fangjia” and the seals “Shouko” in red and “Touyin” in white.
