This long-bodied, wide-mouthed vase has a single protruding band and two annular ears on its shoulder. The large, trumpet-shaped opening at the neck of the mouth is common in the late 11th century, and the band is another characteristic of the same period. The clay is white and of good quality, but the potter’s wheel throwing technique has declined. The ware is solidly fired, with a yellowish-white natural glaze on half the surface.
