This bowl with a pointed bottom and an inner rim is modeled after a Buddhist iron bowl. It does not date back to the middle of the 8th century. The Shosoin three-color green glazed bowl is one of the most famous examples of pottery, but Sue ware bowls have also been produced extensively. Based on the base and firing, this bowl is considered to be a product of the Sanage kiln.
