Height 8.2cm, Diameter 12.4cm, Foot diameter 4.9cm
The design is similar to that of the Kinrande Aoi Mon tea bowl, but the mouth is slightly smaller and more tightly drawn, the body is deeper, and one side of the mouth is slightly distorted, and the foot is also smaller and more tightly drawn. The inside is decorated with a single hollyhock crest in underglaze blue, and the outside is decorated with a combination of pine, bamboo and plum trees and cranes and tortoises in underglaze blue, with the foot ring and mark left in place and covered with a transparent glaze.
The underglaze blue design is left in place, and red overglaze enamels are applied to the ground. The character “fuku” (meaning “good fortune”) is painted in the center of the interior, and the arabesque design is the same as that on the previous page. The outer sides of the bowl are decorated with the same design of the imperial crest of the Japanese hollyhock, and both are painted in gold. The mark “Kawabin Shiryū” is stamped on the side of the foot ring, and the lid of the box says “Kinrande Ocha-wan” and the bottom of the box says “Inzen Goro Zō”, so it is probably from around the same time as the previous tea bowl.
