The name “Meimori-yama” refers to the beautiful deer fawn pattern seen on both the inside and outside, which is likened to fireflies. It is probably named after the famous firefly viewing spot of Meimori-yama in Omi Province.
The pale persimmon-colored body is accented with blue-tinged fire-glazed patterns, and between them, deer-spot patterns form a beautiful design on both the interior and exterior. The body features fine, sharp grooves, and the rim has ten eyes, with the base also showcasing a rich texture. The entire bowl exudes the breath of time, having been cherished and enjoyed by tea enthusiasts over the years, and it emanates a rich tea-drinking ambiance.
