This pottery is literally shaped like a wind character, with both ends slightly widened at the end. The outward curvature of the land edge is also typical of ancient style inkstones. The top surface of the inkstone has a vertical cut-out surface. The reverse side of the inkstone has two legs that slope forward. This inkstone is a good example of the Northeastern style inkstone.
