Height: 8.2 cm, Mouth Diameter: 10.3 cm, Foot Diameter: 4.6 cm
Although it is thinly formed overall, this piece can be considered a typical work by Ichinyu, emulating the style of Chojiro. With a slightly curved rim reminiscent of Chōjirō’s “Ōkuro” and a rounded body, the piece exudes a gentle, serene quality. The foot is narrow and compact, with a subtle, swirling pattern carved into its interior. A layer of ochre was applied beneath the transparent glaze covering the entire piece, resulting in a vivid red tea bowl. Additionally, a blackish fire-change pattern adorns one side of the body, adding to its visual appeal. On the underside of the lid, Jushinsai has inscribed: “Ichinyu-saku Red Tea Bowl, Aya-ha-sha (signature).”
