Height: 6.7 cm, Mouth Diameter: 12.0 cm, Foot Diameter: 4.5 cm
This is a small, flat tea bowl with a tightly drawn body and an inward-curving rim; the lower part of the body rises diagonally to form a small foot. The black glaze covering the entire bowl is smooth and well-fused, with vermilion glaze appearing on two sides of the exterior.
Inside the footring, a shallow swirl-shaped indentation rises, and three marks remain on the base. On the underside of the lid, Chokusai has inscribed “Ichinyu-saku Kurochawan Kogetsu (signature),” and on the top of the lid there is a label from the Heikun-dai collection, suggesting that this piece was once owned by Masuda Jun’o.
