Height: 5.7 cm, Mouth Diameter: 13.8 cm, Foot Diameter: 4.7 cm
This tea bowl features a shape commonly known as “well-shaped.” Half of the body is coated with black glaze and the other half with transparent glaze, creating a two-tone effect that highlights the foot and the area around it. A seal mark is stamped beside the foot, and Gen’ensai has inscribed the name “Nowaki” in red lacquer. Several other tea bowls of this type are known to exist, and since Gen’ensai has written “Autumn” on the lid of the box, it is believed that a set of four bowls representing the four seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—was originally complete.
