This slender, stroked-shouldered plum vase was probably made around the beginning of the 14th century, judging from its shape. The entire surface of the body is decorated with a design of inlaid flowers in the shape of a plum tree, which was one of the favorite motifs of Kosedo in the first half of the 14th century. Although the iron glaze is still dripping, the blackish-brown color of the Kosedo axis is nearly complete, making this an excellent Kosedo plum vase. Formerly designated as an Important Art Object.
