The neck is of an upright shape with a slightly narrowed center, and the shoulders are sloped and sloping, and the high base is heavily stretched, which is characteristic of the period. The upper half of the jar from the shoulder is decorated with a series of wooden leaf motifs in a single melancholy line. This is a rare example of a four-lobed jar decorated with this type of floral motif, and is a valuable resource. The ash glaze is still noticeably streaked, but the axis is stable with a thick layer of glaze with the addition of saba.
It is thought to have been made at the end of the Kamakura period.
