Seto ware: bowl with four legs, ash glaze.

15th century
Height 7.2 cm, mouth diameter 26.6 cm, bottom diameter 12.2 cm
This four-foot vase is similar to a large folded-rimmed deep dish, but in terms of the mouth rim construction, it should be considered a large grater dish. It is made of a rough grayish-white base, and after water-glazed molding, the bottom has been ground and adjusted. The inner bottom is sharply engraved with grating marks. The ash glaze is oxidized and fired, so the color is similar to that of a yellowish axis, but the half-surface has been left white.
