Although the place of excavation is unknown, it is clear at first glance that this is a sutra tube vessel, as there is a shadow blue gouko (a small vessel with a blue lid) that is said to have been produced with it. The body is decorated with an inscription in the shape of a robe with five parallel sunken lines and eight intersecting vertical lines. The top of the lid is detached, but the curved part is decorated with the same kesa-dasuki design as on the body. The clay is grayish-black and dense, and the molding is extremely careful. The firing was also good, and the side rim of the body is partially covered with a yellowish-white natural glaze.
