Specialty. Korean tea bowl, blue well.
The name is probably due to the scenery that reminds us of the blue grassy Kasugano. It is an excellent tea bowl with a good size and good workmanship. Formerly in the collection of Matsuoan Matsuoka of Kaga, it was used at the Daitokuji Shinjuan during the great tea ceremony held in 1898 to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Prince Toyo’s death, and later became part of the Masuda family collection.
