He is also said to have been a Kumagawa native who came to Japan after the Japanese invasion during the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592-8. She married Mohei Nakazato of Shiinomine (Fusukei, Minamihata-cho, Imari City, Saga Prefecture), but her husband died young, so she brought her son Moemon to Mt. Nagahazan in 1622 (Genna 8), aged 56, to help with the construction of Onikotake. In 1629, he began to produce a kind of gray ware, and in 1634, he began to produce more excellent red clay ware. In her old age, she became more and more robust and supervised her children and workers well, and is said to have revitalized the pottery industry in Mikawachi at that time.
