Masu (square)
Masu (square)

Specialty. Raku ware tea bowl, one of the seven types of NONKOU. It is so named because of its square shape.
The front of the body has a mountainous yellow glaze with a landscape color, and the center of the base has a Raku seal clearly visible through the exposed clay. It was originally owned by the Osaka-ya family and entered the Akahoshi family, and then went to the Isono Ryokichi family of Osaka for 67,000 yen when sold by the same family in 1917.
