 This is one of the few Kaga koto pottery complete vessels. The grayish-white ground has shiny black spots in places. The mark on the shoulder, as well as the brush marks used to adjust the surface, are identical to those on a large jar excavated from Makiguchi Town (Figure 17), clearly indicating that they were made in the same kiln.
