　This is a jar of the Tokoname type with a wide rim band created by folding the edge of the mouth rim outward. The clay contains many fine grains of feldspar and iron particles, which melted and blew out as black spots on the surface of the vessel. The clay was rolled up and the surface was brushed horizontally with a coarse brush. The surface of the vessel has a smooth brownish-brown color.
