The short, rounded neck with a wide, chunky base.
This small jar with a unique Tamba style is thought to have appeared in the late Muromachi period. It is thinly made by winding up corded clay, and the surface of the vessel is shaped in the so-called “cat-scratched hand” comb pattern.
There is a well-digit kiln mark on the shoulder. The firing is good, and the shiny surface is covered with a bright light green natural glaze, showing excellent workmanship. There is a geta mark on the underside.
