This is a tea bowl with a high waist height, which is often seen in the Nezumi-Shino style. One side of the body is decorated with a gentle mountain design, a weeping pattern, and a cypress fence design. From its shape, it is thought to be a work from the same period as the “Sazanami” and “Higaki-style Tea Bowl” of the Nezumi-Shino ware. The slightly outward opening of the takadai tatami-zuke has been carved with thin lines to form a double takadai, but it has been stroked with the fingers to give it a hand-kneaded taste. The triangular shape of the earthenware is glazed with a relatively narrow area of clay.
