One side of the body is painted with a lintel design in iron pigments and covered with a feldspar glaze, while the other side is decorated with a cobblestone design with a circular pattern inside and a line design resembling willow branches carved on an oniita base, with a thin feldspar glaze over the design. The shape is typical of a kutsu-shape, with a “eye” pattern around the waist and on the base. The glaze is varied by using a combination of black glaze and a thin feldspar glaze over an oniita base. The mark “-” is engraved inside the base and “/” is engraved on the side of the base. The glazed surface is softly fired and full of flavor.
