Height 15.4 cm, mouth diameter 12.4 cm, body diameter 22.8 cm, base diameter 9.3 cm
This jar has a very rustic appearance. It has ears on two sides of the shoulder, but jars with such ears are rare in Karatsu. The dotted mottled design on the mouth rim and the single plover and one-wheeled wheel design on the front and back of the body are painted with a thick brush in a careless manner, but the design is influenced by the Shino painted patterns fired in Mino, which is rare for Karatsu. The base is low and has been carved out in a sharply rounded shape, the red clay is soft and reddish, and one side has a gold-plated edge. It is probably made by the Tani Kiln of Jioya.
