Idemitsu Museum of Arts
This jar has a wide mouth and a low base, and is also of a simple style, but the body is covered with a single line of carving. The straw ash glaze is applied to the base of the body, but half of the glaze is white, while the other half is mottled in a sea squirt style, giving the jar a mottled appearance. The clay is coarse and the surface is reddish brown. It is probably made by the Uchigaso-gama in Takatori.
