　Most of Tamba’s Chinese chive Tokugiri are similar in size, with a height of about 30 cm. However, this one is small (21 cm in diameter), and there are few similar examples. The black ground has been covered with ash and fired to a bluish glaze, which is also rare. The body of the vessel is slightly bulging, and the overall shape is slightly stout. The bottom is flat, of course, and there are marks on three sides.
