Hyogo Prefectural Ceramic Museum
This type of jar, with a mouth with an inverted mouth and the largest diameter of the body in the center, is common in the 15th and 16th centuries, but it is not yet clear whether or not it can be considered a type of jar. The clay is rolled up and the surface of the vessel has been adjusted by scraping.
The reddish-brown skin of the vessel is covered with a dark green natural glaze on the half-surface of the shoulder, which flows down to the lower half of the body in several stripes, another characteristic of Tamba vessels from this period.
