The origin of the Yanagawa inscription is unknown, but it comes from a box inscription by Marquis Date Yoshiyama.
Although small in size, the bamboo joints on the high pedestal are superb, the potter’s wheel is brilliant, and the width of the helmet stands up well, well representing the face of a well. The loquat-colored glaze has a bluish alternation. The kairagi inside and outside of the high stand is even more splendid and adds a great feature to the piece.
The small size may be the reason for the small size of the Koido, but the style of the Koido is close to that of the Oido.
