This is a stepped dish with a narrow rim band and a stepped outer surface. The lower section of the outer surface has been adjusted by cutting. This cutting also extends to the underside of the bottom, indicating that the entire bottom of the dish was subjected to this process prior to the addition of the base. The ash glaze is applied only to the inner surface, giving it a slightly oxidized, almost yellowish green color.
