 This is an unusual tea caddy with three ring ears on the shoulder. This is an unusual tea caddy with three ringed ears on the shoulder.
 This three-ringed tea caddy is of course made of grandmother’s clay, which is ground thin and extremely light. The iron glaze is a thin layer of brownish color with some ash covering. Based on excavated artifacts from the same kiln, this piece is thought to date from the mid-14th century.
