Hori Karatsu

A type of Karatsu ware produced by the Kishitake Iidogama kiln. It is a bold, kutsu-shape tea bowl with a nagaseki glaze and a hinokagaki-style muscular carving. Sometimes the carving is decorated with iron painting.
