This is a rare Echizen pot with a Shigaraki-style double-lobed mouth with a short, upright apex at the neck of the mouth. The shoulder has four flat vertical ears with a hole drilled in the center. The slightly coarse base is well-fired, and a portion of the body from the shoulder is covered with a yellowish-gomafuji natural glaze unique to Echizen.
