This large flat suizashi with a single-layered mouth is glazed with a cloudy white glaze over the entire surface, and is lined with red and gold stripes around the mouth and at the base of the body. Bamboos are arranged around the old tree, and gold is added to the “Dopo” (earthenware pot). It is a unique example among the water jars left by Ninsei, and is also a large work. The small seal of Ninsei is stamped on the bottom, but it is not discernible because of the glaze. It was donated to the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art by Ishiguro Denroku.
