This is a masterpiece of a style unparalleled even in the Ekaratsu genre. It is a deep bowl with a ball-rimmed mouth, and is of an unusual shape with rounded low legs on three sides of the bottom. The paintings on the body are interesting, and the bamboo, plum, and wisteria flower patterns are all painted with thick brush strokes, especially the plum branches. The entire surface is covered with a feldspar glaze mixed with earth and ash. The legs on the three sides are made of exposed clay, showing the fine and soft red clay. It was probably made by the Tani Kiln of the jar shop. It is not clear whether it was made into an incense burner, a bowl, or a water jar, but it is now used as a water jar.
