Height 9.0cm, diameter 12.3cm, base 7.2cm
This is a semi-cylindrical tea bowl with a low base carved out in a double height style. The body is round and the mouth is made in a stroking square shape. The body is deeply carved with an X-shaped pattern on six sides, and the entire surface, except for the base, is thickly covered with feldspar glaze, with a plum blossom skin-like pattern inside the carving. On three sides of the body, small cross-shaped designs are painted in iron glaze over feldspar pongee. The overall shape is semi-tubular, similar to that of Setoguro. The clay is white, and there are two shell marks on the tatami surface. It is assumed to have been made in the Iidong under-glaze kiln.
