Gyokusui Art Museum
This is a shoestring-shaped tea bowl with an undulating mouth, and the base is carved low, with deep carving within the base. It is a tea bowl with a rare style of Oribe’s taste, with a gallstone glaze applied from the mouth to the body, and an iron painting of mokuzu on a part of the body, over which a thicker glaze was applied. It is estimated to have been made by the Tani Kiln of the jar store.
