This is a semi-tubular tea bowl with a triangular mouth, a tiered body, and a large double height stand characteristic of Tang Dynasty China. The body is painted with a rough, bold pattern in the style of a mountain range, and the glaze is thickly applied. The glazed surface is white and the base is white clay mixed with small sand, which has been hardened by firing.
