Umezawa Memorial Hall
This is a slightly thin wheel-thrown cylindrical vase with the mouth pressed down on three sides to form the shape of Shuhama. The base is firmly cut to be open, which is unique to Uchida Saraya Kiln. One side of the body is decorated with autumn grasses, while the other side is decorated with a graceful vine-like pattern. The glaze has melted well and turned a bluish gray color. Because of its large size, it is currently used as a hibiya.
