This tea caddy is exactly the same work as the “Soroi” tea caddy, but is shaped like a karamono round jar and has a low round base with a threaded bottom. It is probably a tea caddy in the Ibe style, but it is also estimated to have been made before the Momoyama period (1573-1600). This tea caddy has a neat appearance. The half surface from the head to the hem of the body is covered with a bright sesame glaze, and some of the glaze has been removed. One side has a blackish-brown clay body. A thin cord is tied around the center of the body. The same illegible kiln mark “Soroi” is spatula-engraved on the base. Included in “Taisho Meikikan.
