　This is a pestle-shaped vase with a tapered body. It has small ears on the top. The upper part has a hinokigaki pattern carved in lines on the back, and the lower part has eight thick spatula marks. The front has a dark burnished surface heavily covered with ash, and a blackened clay surface can be seen around the hem. The back is reddish brown with two streaks of beadlo glaze. As usual, there are two holes on one side and one hole on the other side, but they have been filled in.
