　Similar wares have been excavated from the Milia and Hyakuma kilns, as well as other sites. The shape of the vessel is in the Yi Dynasty style, but the design on the body is clearly the so-called “net pattern” found in ko-zome ware of the Tenkei period (1600-1868). The depiction is unrestrained, but in fact, it captures the interesting nature of the mesh pattern well. This is probably one of the most fascinating small Imari Sometsuke jars of the early period.
