A similar vessel with exactly the same shape and design as this was excavated from the Milieu Kiln. The front is decorated with sixteen-petaled chrysanthemums in underglaze blue, and the base is covered with iron glaze both inside and out. This small dish has a tiered base, and the base is carved slightly larger than the rest. This type of dish is generally called sukusaka-te and is said to have been made at the sukusaka kiln in Kaga, but pottery shards have been excavated from the Hiawakoba and Yamakoya kilns, which clearly indicates that it was also fired in Arita.
